  2. I'm glad to hear that Jon Stewart isn't actually an asshole. That we would have bothered me in a way I am totally serious about.
    Also, while I kind of agree with Dave, I also appreciate any and all updating on the blog. Which is to say, you can twitter me any day, Sol.

  3. I was actually planning on writing about this about a week ago, right after the Jezebel article came up, but laziness overcame me in a big way. So I guess I shouldn't throw stones, but I will anyway. Sol, I demand a real post.

  4. In the annals of strikingly sexist statements:

    "Overall, The Daily Show's environment was such that many women felt marginalized. 'It was a place of just business,' says one show veteran. 'The business happened to be hilarious comedy, but you weren't allowed to enjoy it...Any sort of emotional vulnerability is like blood to a shark. And that is not great for women.'"

    While I have read some things on the subject of this controversy, they have not been many things, so I will refrain from making any muscular assertions. I will say, however, that for anyone leveling charges of gender discrimination, that little bit above is a real doozy.
